Didja miss me? Bet ya didn't.

So, how was my holiday? It was pretty good, although I thought the weather would be hotter. I was running around in jeans for.... Pretty much the whole week. It's supposed to be summer, right? It was way hotter back home, around 28 to 30 degrees. In Rotorua, we were lucky if we got 23.

So, what did we do? A lot of stuff. On our first full day there, we went on the Skyline Luge and Gondolas. It was really nice, and another track has been added since the last time we went there. My brother, ~folfsky101, has a picture of him on a luge cart (whatever you call them), in his gallery. If you take the scenic track, a camera will take your picture and send it back up to the ticket booth. There's one on the chairlift too, just before you get off, but it's hard to smile at that when you're talking to the person next to you, or if the sun's in your eyes.

Before you ask, no, I didn't buy my photo from there. I can't smile, and the only one that was vaguely passable was the one of me doing my asshole-type smirk. That made me giggle when I saw it.

The next nice day that we got, we went on the Lakeland Queen, a paddle steamer that goes on the lake right in the middle of the Rotorua CBD. We went on the coffee cruise, which left at the same time as the breakfast/lunch (I can't remember which one it was ) cruise, which basically meant that we got as much coffee and cake, plus muffins, that we could handle. I think I drank about four cups of coffee on that cruise! XD It was really noisy, so you couldn't really hear anything the captain was saying, but it was lovely. A great way to spend the morning, and a little bit of the afternoon. After that, we went for ice cream at this place that I had seen when we first arrived. I had money then, so it was a Thursday. Yes, that's how I count the days, by seeing how broke I am XD;;;;

Friday, we didn't really do a lot. Mum's friend and her housemate had to go out at dinnertime, so we went to Wendy's. Don't judge me, we don't have one where I live. Yet. I kept the cups, as a comparison between NZ and American sizes. Put it this way, our large drink cup is an American medium. This made me lol. Um.... The food was good, but I was so full afterwards. Maybe I'll just stick to Maccas.

Saturday, we went to Hamilton to visit my half sister, my brother in law, and nephew. He's getting to be a big boy now, and he's not even 2 yet. We went to The Base, which is like a giant shopping centre, in search of some decent sushi for lunch. Phwoo. I ate so much.... Don't blame me, blame the tuna onigiri. It was delicious. Turns out my nephew eats sushi, too. That was pretty neat. After we'd eaten and cleaned ourselves up, we went for a wander, and you know those rides that you stick a dollar in, and they move and stuff? Yeah, my nephew found one of those. We indulged him for a bit, just let him muck around on it, then we wanted to move on. He started kicking up a stink, so I basically just picked him up, tucked him under my arm, rested him against my hip, and walked out. Man, did my mother laugh! She says it looked like he had pooped, and I wasn't impressed. I just wanted him to stop having a tantrum.

He'd probably crapped himself by then, though. We stayed in Hamilton for the night, then headed back to Rotorua on Sunday. We didn't really do a lot, basically just mucked around.

Today, we packed up and left, with the promise to come and stay again. The ride back was fun, and Mum cracked us up when we were trying to pass a van while going uphill. The guy was going really slow, and we just wanted to get home, so Mum punched the power button (her car can go between manual and power steering, or something) and floored it. We shot past the guy, and her car was belching blue-white smoke. Nothing dangerous, she was just burning gas. We were cracking up laughing.

Anyway, we're home now. God, I've missed this place. *happy sigh* Going to visit my friends on.... I think Folf and I agreed on Wednesday. Going to catch up on our PewDiePie, play games and chat. The usual
